Lake Naivasha has been providing people a decent living for thousands of years, where originally the lake and the surrounding land was owned by the Masai tribe; and in fact the actually name of Naivasha is derived from the Masai word for ‘rough waters’.
The best part about the lake though, is of course, the abundance of birds! The high productivity of lake allows many bird species to thrive here, with over 300 species recorded.
