3 Day Best of Kenya's Rift Valley Lakes Tour

We were in Kenya for a month and at the last minute decided to book a short birding safari in the Rift Valley. Despite the short notice, Sam arranged a fabulous safari with Sammy, a fabulous guide! It’s worth paying a bit more money for a well-run safari with a guide who really knows birds. He was friendly and very patient with us. The accommodations and transportation were very good. I would book a safari with the Sustainable Birding Company again in a heartbeat.

15 Day Special Species & Albertine Endemics Tour

Sustainable Birding was great – they were very willing and flexible providing us with a customized itinerary that met our needs during our trip to Uganda. Our guides, Arshley and Steven, were extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to finding us as many birds as possible. They were also extremely helpful organizing for our excursions to see gorillas and chimps as well. The trip was well organized with lodges nearby to our drives and the parks. I highly recommend Sustainable Birding.

12 Day Birding Bliss Photography Tour

I’ve just come back from a custom made 12 days bird photography tour with The Sustainable Birding Company. And what can I say? It was FANTASTIC! Everything was great: the accommodation, the driver (Thanks to Sammy, the driver with whom I always felt safe and secure!), the VERY experienced bird guide Sammy (who is such a gentleman as well!) and the birds!

I am sure I will be back and I hope I will go with Sammy and Sammy again!

“A fantastic experience in Amboseli National Park!

We had a brilliant couple of days in Amboseli National Park on our two day safari and birding tour with the Sustainable Birding Company.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and we saw lots of birds and big mammals!

15 Day Birder's Paradise Tour

It was totally a coincidence for me to join a birding trip to Kenya via the Sustainable Birding Company and got an amazing windfall after all. During the 15 days birding trip with the knowledgeable bird-guide Sammy and the skillful driver Mungai , not only we saw lots of birds which were expected but also the wildlife unexpected.

The Sustainable Birding Company has many great bird guides in East Africa. To have a safari into the field with Sammy and Mungai will be the best choice for sure. Sammy has a detailed understanding to find out exactly where the rare or the particular species existed , Mungai seems setting up a road map into his mind which you will never worry to get lost . According to the cooperation without a trace between Sammy and Mungai, we all have a satisfied harvest and los of pleasure friendship, and even we have back to Taiwan for months, Sammy was still doing his after-sale service well for helping us to make sure the species we have found in Kenya.

I would strongly like to recommend the Sustainable Birding Company for nature & wildlife tours, they are definitely the best company without wonder because of Sammy and Mungai, and thank them very much for giving us an amazing Kenya.

1 Day Gatamaiyu Forest & Manguo Swamp Tour

This was the second time that I have used the Sustainable Birding Company for specific birding trips near Nairobi. They are a very reliable and professional outfit providing good guides and good vehicles. Sam, our guide, for the day is a really pleasant and polite individual who went to great lengths to make sure we got our target species. If you are a birder then the Gatamaiyu is a must visit in Nairobi for a number of specialities such as Bar-tailed Trogon and Mountain Oriole. If you are a general nature lover and want to see some forest and wildlife then it is a nice trip too – we had great views of Colobus monkey as well as some great scenery. I find the Sustainable Birding company very easy to deal with too; they are responsive and always helpful. Everything ran like clockwork from the pick up at the hotel to drop off at night. Highly recommended if you have time in Nairobi.

3 Day Tsavo East National Park Tour

“One of the best trips of my life! Really good value for money, wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly staff and of course spectacular wildlife! I did a lot of research before my trip to find the best safari company in Kenya. I decided to go with SBC due to the ethical side, they give back by investing directly in wildlife conservation. What I didn’t quite expect was how well they look after you.Our guide was really knowledgeable, particularly on the bird species, and patiently helped us get the very best views and pics. The highlight was probably the safari loge we stayed in where you could have a beer at the bar, or a swim in the pool, right next to a watering hole that was constantly visited by herds of elephants. Truly spectacular! Thanks to the SBC staff. We’ll be booking with you again!”

3 Day Best of Kenya's Lakes Tour

“My family and I spent 3 fascinating and varied days viewing the fabulous wildlife on and around three of Kenya’s stunning Rift Valley lakes – Baringo, Bogoria and Nakuru. Sam, the SBC’s Director, took a personal interest in our tour from the outset and helped us design a first-rate, tailored itinerary, which spoke to my family’s differing interests in birds and other wildlife (and our lack of expertise!). We particularly appreciated the value the SBC places on sustainability, principally through its partnerships with local wildlife organisations and its use of local talent and expertise. I would highly recommend the Sustainable Birding Company to anyone seeking a high quality and personalised wildlife adventure in Kenya!”

2 Day Forest, Swamp & Lake Tour

“The Sustainable Birding Company have the best bird guides in East Africa. Going into the field with their guides is always an absolute pleasure – their knowledge of calls are first class, they have a detailed understanding of exactly where difficult species can best be found, and are resolute in their determination to find each target. I would highly recommend a day or half day out with The Sustainable Birding Company when passing through Nairobi”

1 Day Shimba Hills National Park Tour

“Amazing day out at Shimba Hills with friends. Our guide was brilliant – obviously very passionate and could identify birds by their calls from a far distance which meant we saw a wide range of birds. Alongside all the birds we saw, we caught site of lots of larger African wildlife including giraffes baboons and antelope. Such a fantastic day & a wonderful lunch location too. We would definitely do another tour with SBC!”

1 Day Nairobi National Park Tour

“I got in touch with Sustainable Birding and was warmly welcomed by Sam and Washington. I wanted to spend a full day, 6am to 6pm in Nairobi NP, mainly for bird photography. We were in an open-top minibus, perfect for stand-up birdwatching. Samuel Muriuki is an enthusiastic birdwatcher, who was as keen at 6am as he was twelve hours later, at 6pm. Top notch! An unforgettable day, covering 57 km inside the park with 140 species seen, the full list of photos are now on eBird!”

Great follow up and I got a list with all the birds spotted by email afterwards. Booking was easy any Sam was very kind in accommodating pick up and drop off requests. Can highly recommend booking a tour with this company if in Kenya”.
