Join us as we take you on a birding tour in Kidepo Valley National Park – one of Uganda’s best kept secrets!

Kidepo Valley National Park is one of Uganda’s least visited parks, but don’t let that put you off from going on a birding tour there. The reason it’s not as popular is due of the distance it takes from the capital – but believe us, it’s well worth the journey and rightly has the name ‘The True African Wilderness’!

Renowned as ‘The True African Wilderness’ Kidepo Valley National Park, truly does live up to its name! Due to the park being tucked away in the north-east of the country it is one of Uganda’s least visited parks. However, all that means is you get to reap in all the benefits of it’s isolation! It famously has the largest herd of Buffalo in the whole of Africa, whilst also boasting 4 out 5 of the African Big 5 – Lion, Leopard, Buffalo & Elephant. Other mammal treats such as the Aardwolf, Bat-eared Fox, Cheetah and Striped Hyena are something to look forward to also. One of the best parts though, is of course, the birds. With over 450 species, which is second to only Bwindi Impenetrable National Park it holds some of Uganda’s rarest species such as the Black-breasted Barbet and Karamoja Apalis. Other species to look forward to are the Red-and-Yellow Barbet, Superb Starling, Silverbird, Crimson-rumped Waxbill among much much more.

So join us on an unforgettable Sustainable Birding Tour at Kidepo Valley National Park!
